Kemps salutes local family farmers.
The Orchardlawn farm has been in the family since 1873. The farm consists of 55 registered Holsteins and 100 head of young stock. The cows are housed in this tie stall barn. The barn was built in 1915 and has been used ever since. Currently, 3 generations live on the farm. Carl sees the farm as a place with a lot of history and family memories. “It takes a lot of work and there are no breaks, but it’s always been worth it,” he says.
