Guenther Family Farm
We built this farm from the ground up. That’s something that we take a lot of pride in.”
Robert and Therese Guenther milk 90 cows, on their 650 acre, sixth-generation dairy farm, in Oconomowoc, in the lake country area of Wisconsin. Their sons, Jacob, Luke and Andrew, have helped out on the farm since they were little boys and today play an integral part on this family farm.
The Guenther family knows that sustainability is not just good for the environment, it’s good for their business. That’s why they use cow manure on their fields. The nutrients let them cut down on fertilizers and then they rotate in cover crops to keep weeds down, so they can minimize their herbicide use, too.
We make sure every calf born on our farm has a great start. That’s how we get the most out of our cows when they’re in the milking barn.”
